In 1978, THE WIZ ‘eased on down the road’ to the big screen and captivated the world with its magical retelling of L. Frank Baum’s classic tale! Don’t miss New York City’s 40th Anniversary Celebration of the movie musical phenomenon, only at the United Palace! Experience The Wiz on a 50-foot screen in crystal clear DCP, with a special pre-show performance by Shanice Williams, aka Dorothy from NBC’s The Wiz, Live (2015)!

Shanice Williams is an actress, singer and songwriter from NJ. She had her big break in 2015 as Dorothy in NBC’s The Wiz Live and she just finished the run of her first Off-Broadway play called The Little Rock 9. She was nominated for a Critics Choice Award for best actress in a limited show for TV and recently won Best Actress at the NY Series Fest for her role in HBO’s Manic. Now, Shanice is beginning her journey as a contemporary gospel artist.
