In 2016, the United Palace was inspired to undertake what became our Brand Revisioning — a collaborative, multi-phased effort designed to best position United Palace for awareness, growth, and impact. Our vision, distinct voice, and fresh design came to life, including our new logo. The United Palace logo includes a brandmark and acronym, “UP,” and is an expression of our essential positivity.
As part of the re-imaged United Palace brand, posters were recently installed on the exterior of the United Palace that highlight all arms of the organization – United Palace, our booking operation; United Palace House of Inspiration, our spiritual, interfaith center; and United Palace of Cultural Arts, a nonprofit cultural arts center – as a hub of creative expression and personal growth. Each of the posters incorporate a word that has the letters “UP,” that demonstrates our collective mission to set the mind and spirit free, declares our intentions and beliefs, and represents our commitment to Reawaken Wonder and serve the society.
Here’s some examples of our posters:
Dream UP: Lin-Manuel Miranda accentuates how we are a “jewel of a theater”
Bless UP: Pledges our dedication to the interfaith community
EUPhoria: Flaunts the excitement of a film screening
UPscale: A venue for galas and high-class events
UPbeat: Illustrates our West African drumming classes
Rev UP: Demonstrates our venue for promotional launches
Breath UP: Brings forth our wellness programing
CoUPe: Showcases our capacity to serve a need for the community, such as dance classes, studios, and rehearsal spaces.
SUPerstar: Emphasizes the diversity of musical acts we bring, such as Romeo Santos
UPtempo: Authenticates us as the home of dance uptown
Come to the United Palace at 4140 Broadway on 175th St to take a look at our posters. Tell us which is your favorite and use #ReawakenWonder.
